The 2026 ACM Conference on Innovative Concepts and Theories in Information Retrieval (ACM ICTIR 2026) will be held on July 25 in Melbourne | Naarm, Australia.
ICTIR 2026 is co-located with SIGIR 2026 and will be held the day after the SIGIR 2026 program concludes, allowing attendees to create a six-day immersive conference experience in a vibrant world-class location.
SIGIR 2026 and ICTIR 2026 will both be held at the award-winning Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center, on the south bank of the Yarra River.
To register for ICTIR, go to the SIGIR 2026 registration page.
If you plan to attend SIGIR plus ICTIR, register as a "Three-Day" or "Five-Day" SIGIR attendee, and ICTIR will be available as an optional extra as part of those registration sequences. Note that the "early bird" registration deadline for SIGIR (but not ICTIR) is Sunday 24 May (11:59pm Melbourne time). The SIGIR registration fees will increase after that date.
If you plan to attend ICTIR only, select the "One-Day" SIGIR registration option, and ICTIR will be one of the "days" that can be picked, together with zero or more of the days on which SIGIR activities will take place.
ICTIR registration may be completed at the same time as SIGIR registration is undertaken, or can be added at any later time. The ICTIR registration fees are constant, and there are no early discounts or late penalties.
The same SIGIR registration page allows accommodation options to be compared and booked. Accommodation requests must be received before Wednesday 3 June, 11:59pm Melbourne time. This includes people who will attend ICTIR only.
Please read the Registration and Accommodation Terms and Conditions on the SIGIR web site carefully.
At least one author of each accepted ICTIR paper is required to register for ICTIR as the "presenting author" of that work, to allow finalization of the ACM ICTIR 2026 proceedings. One such registration may be used as the basis for presenting multiple accepted papers.
Presenting authors must complete their ICTIR registration by Sunday 14 June (11:59pm AEST Melbourne time}. Accepted papers for which no ICTIR Author Registration is received risk being excluded from the ICTIR proceedings.
Registration for ACM SIGIR 2026 and/or ACM ICTIR 2026 will be regarded as confirmation that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the ACM Privacy Policy and the ACM Policy Against Harassment at ACM Activities.
Persons who register for ACM SIGIR 2026 and/or ACM ICTIR 2026 who have been sanctioned by the ACM for past policy breaches, and who as a result of those sanctions have been banned from participating in ACM activities, will have their registrations cancelled without being eligible for a refund.
